Join us September 8th to discuss humanist values in light of the upcoming election, and learn about an important proposed amendment to the NY state constitution. Find us in the Sargent Room at the Liverpool Public library. We also plan to Zoom the event for those who can’t attend in person: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7630427646
The NY Equal Rights Amendment, Proposal 1, has passed the state legislature, and this November, NY voters will have the opportunity to vote for or against it.
Mickey Belosi, Second Vice President of the Central New York chapter of the National Organization of Women (CNYNOW) will present information about this non-partisan voter issue.
Mickey says,
The New York Equal Rights Amendment will ensure freedom to control your body, life, and future. It is critical that we vote YES to close loopholes in the state constitution and laws and to make sure that no New Yorker can be discriminated against by the government. Your vote will mean greater equality for yourself and your neighbors.
Learn about the proposed update to our constitution in a comfortable setting where you can ask questions and learn what this constitutional change means to you.
