Join the CNY Humanists and the Secular & Social CNY Families as we return to Lewis Park again this year to participate in OCRRA's county-wide Earth Day Litter Cleanup! 

Our second annual Earth Day Park Cleanup is officially scheduled for Saturday, April 23 from 9-11 am at Lewis Park. The CNY Humanists and the Secular & Social CNY Families had a great time last year, and Lewis Park is a perfect spot for a family event. There isn't a lot of traffic, there was no dangerous or alarming garbage, and there's even a bathroom!

The adults raked and picked up trash. The kids helped by picking up sticks and trying out the "trash pickers"--big wooden tweezers for picking up trash. Then they played on the playground, ran around, and found a bird's nest. It was a great morning, and very satisfying to see how much better the park looked after we were done!

We'll meet at Lewis Park near the playground. The City of Syracuse will provide tools and bags, and they'll come and pick everything up when we're done. The CNY Humanists will bring donuts and coffee and juice. Join us! All are welcome.
